For only about $100, the Blink XT2 is an indoor/ outdoor camera to rival its toughest competitors. It has many of Security Baron’s Necessary Features like 1080p HD video, two-way audio, an Amazon Alexa integration, plus infrared night vision. But how does it fare in terms of artificial intelligence capabilities like person detection and facial recognition, plus cloud and local storage, convenience, and overall value?

In this review, I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the Blink XT2, from its video, audio, night vision, storage, smart platform integrations, and artificial intelligence, to its installation process and app. At the end of the review, I’ll recommend whether you should buy the Blink XT2 or not, and who specifically it would be a good choice for. Just watch the video to find out if the Blink XT2 is right for you!

It sends clips to your phone or tablet. These can be saved to other media as needed.

Full marks for platform integration when it only works with Alexa? Plenty of cameras of this quality or better that work with multiple platforms

I can't get past a camera not having local storage. I think it's really important

The blue light can be turned off on the blink xt switch by the batteries.

You missed advanced for Activity Zones, that allows more detailed detections zones. Also, don't forget the modules, you can set schedules and add multiple systems modules. Multiple base stations expands storage and capacity for all systems on Cloud.

Ethan Turner says:

The $20 wyze cam now has person detection and this camera doesn’t? I think I know which I’m buying.

Little Precious says:
