A7III vs A7II – Should you Save $1000?

Thanks! Share it with your friends!

I’ve noticed so many of you have been asking me recently wether you should go for the Sony A7II or A7III, so I really hope today’s video is helpful in making that decision a little easier! Like I mentioned in the video, both are amazing cameras fully capable of taking great photos but there are a few factors to consider depending on what kind of photography you want to pursue 🙂

If you’re after a photoshoot behind the scenes, here’s one I did on the Sony A7iii with the Sigma 855.. f1.4 ART lens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9Fj0T3hhi8&t

On the A7 II, can we increase the burst mode fps by disabling RAW or lowering image quality?

What are your thoughts on the Sony R7III

Akanbi Lincoln says:

I think color science and 4k is only big deal between the two for me.
I can also tweak the a7ii color to match the color of a7iii

There is no competition for A7 II except the Canon RP but that camera has hardly any cheap lenses.

What adapter do you use for your Canon lenses on the A7S mark ii???

Tom Raymond says:

I have an A7II, I would ave the $$'s (££'s where I live) and buy a second camera body instead, SD cards are trustworthy for at least one shoot.

Thanks for the comparison, was thinking of upgrading to the new A7111 from Canon, due to me new day job my portfolio has diminished to just primarily weddings, so the cameras would get intermittent thrashing, did you have any reliability issues with the A7111 on long wedding shoots?

Brandon Sallinger says:

For the low light test the A72 photo was in jpeg and the a73 was raw. Kind of an unfair test.

LMM says:

For video you're better off spending more and getting the A7III. Hell I even got the A7III over the A7SII.

I'm someone who has shot on the Canon 7D for about 5 years. It has done me well for the most part but I am trying to move on. I heard that the Sony a7 ii was a good deal for full frame. I love my Canon but it's so expensive and Sony seems to be a great alternative. Or maybe just get the Canon 6D

D G says:

which one of these is better when it comes to video?
